Gligor, who had once dated Preer’s daughter, was identified through a familial DNA match and arrested after police collected his discarded water bottle for testing. He later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years, bringing long-awaited justice—though Leslie’s husband, once wrongly suspected, died before seeing the case solved.
